Libya HWK

Libya an oil rich nation spent 40 years under the strict leadership of Col.Muammar el-Qaddafi.In February 2011 the unrest sweeping though the Arab world erupted in Libyan cities.Though it began with a relatively organized core of anti-government opponents in Benghazi its spread to the capital of Tripoli was swift and spontaneous.
The rebels looked at it as if it would be the beginning of a mismatched civil war.Then the they voted to authorize military action,witch was a risky intervention witch lead to bloody possibilities.On March 19, American and European forces began a broad camping of stiker against Colonel Qaddafi and his government, enleashing warlanes ans missiles in a military innervation on a scale not seen in Arab world since the Iraq war.
The attacks prompted two of Colonel Qaddafi's sons to loat a proposal that would remover him from power,witch the rebels rejected.Meanwhile, their ragtag forces surged forward and back, inable to make progress against the army despite the help from above, but no longer in grave peril.

35 million years ago,a part of earths crust split.The Great Rift Vally runs for more than 3,000 miels from what is today the antion of Syria in Southwest Asia to Mozambique in East Africa.The discovery of remainds of humans ancestors was the work of Louis Learkey.He found his first fossil at the age of 12. He found this fossil as he walk across a dusty vally,it was really hot, then somthing catched his eye.At first he just tought it was a rock,but then he saw it was the remains of a early human.The Learkeys where intrested in more things than just fossils.They wanted to know where they came from,what they looked like, their abilities.Archaeological digs can take year and its verry tiering.But yet the Learkeys were convinesed that their work was worthwhile.In the 1930s ,Louis Learkey decided to work at Olduvia Gorge.Together,Louis and Marly Leakey worked for more than 20 years at Olduvi Gorge without makeing any important discoverys that that was the place where human ancestors where first living.But one day Marly found what they've been looking for.She cearfully dug around the item and found out it was pices of a skull of an early ancestor.She called it Nutcracker Man since it had this huge teeth she tought it would be to crush the nuts and roots that formed most of his diet.It was in this area that the early ancestors had lived.

1)If you were Jake or Danielle, would you try to climb Mount Remington to get help for your parents? Explain.
(A)Yes, because if the only way I could get help was climbing the mountain I would rather do that then get in trouble.
2)Danielle’s interest in climbing increases as she learns more about it. Give an example from your own life of something that interested you as you learned more about it.
(A)What interests me in something is when there is an exact answer and there isn’t like something that could change with another opinion, I like learning stuff because you sometime wonder about it and learn more and more by yourself.
3)Why are the people in the weather station surprised to see Jake and Danielle?
(A)They were surprised because their kids and its weird just seeing kids out of nowhere and when he put the bag out and said trick or treat they would be like what’s going on?
